Description

Our Body Salve * – a body butter in a cube, is made on the basis of cupuacu butter and shea butter, which have unique water-binding properties, several times exceeding their own weight. Moreover, they easily penetrate our skin, making it soft and nourished. Body Salve works against dryness and damage. Both butters were used by the indigenous people of Africa to protect the skin from UV rays.

Vegetable oils used in Body Salve are designed to provide vitamins and unsaturated fatty acids as well as GLA acid – necessary to moisturize the skin, moreover, it is a carrier for herbal extracts. Vitamin E has regenerative properties and accelerates the formation of new cells. It protects against free radicals, protects against the negative effects of UV radiation, has antioxidant properties, soothes irritations.

Body Salve has been enriched with herbal extracts. A properly selected mixture of sea algae extracts with a thalassotherapeutic effect enables the penetration of vitamins and minerals into the skin, regulates the level of water in the skin, improving its blood supply and cell renewal. Body Salve is a comprehensive skin care product for the body.

* Salve – once a hand care cosmetic by English shepherds, harder in consistency than ointment, historically consisting mainly of lanolin and beeswax.

Use

It is an anhydrous cosmetic, so you should apply it to damp skin – first spread it and dissolve a little in your hands, and then massage it into the skin. On warm days, it is designed to protect against moisture loss, in cold weather – against the drying effects of heating. It leaves a noticeable “waxy” coating on the skin. The cube may break, but it does not hinder its use in any way.

Packaging

In line with our efforts to reduce product-related waste, Body Salve is packed in semi-parchment, without a plastic coating, hence its permeability. The print was made by hand on 100-year-old printing machines, and the same way, we wrap each cube and glue it with glue, produced in Poland, from potato starch.

Information

Our cosmetics contain natural ingredients that can cause allergic reactions in susceptible people (please read the ingredients carefully!). In the event of such a reaction, please stop using the cosmetic immediately. The reaction may be indicated by redness, burning, dryness, eczema, abnormal non-absorption of the cosmetic for a long time and skin stickiness. Our cosmetics are designed to please the skin, bring relief, nourish it, the feeling of discomfort is absolutely not part of the intended activities and should immediately attract attention. In case of doubt, please contact hi@janbarba.com.

Even such rich and well-thought-out formulas are no substitute for visiting a dermatologist (because they are not drugs) and taking care of your physical and mental health. Which is often reflected in the state of our skin, which “communicates” with us in this way.
