A collection of compositions that are no longer available in our offer but remain an important part of JAN BARBA's history. They were created with the same care for ingredients, process, and idea. These are fragrances that co-created our journey and continue to be its testament.

AIYOKU
Extrait de Parfum
Japan, covered with hills overgrown with tropical forests, forest floor, moss on tree bark, the smell of a damp forest. Among the hills is a traditional wooden house, made of Japanese cedar, saturated with resins and fragrant oils. Some elements of this house are new, still fresh, others have darkened with time and their scent is mature, subtle. This house, nestled in a valley among tall grasses, built by joining wood to wood without the use of nails, blends into nature and is part of it. The wetlands around create ideal conditions for cultivation.
The scent of roots, combined with the scent of damp earth, mixes with the scent of fresh wood and surrounding moss. This is how AIYOKU smells.
AIYOKU is a composition inspired by descriptions from Alex Kerr's book "Lost Japan".
The perfumes have a fresh, citrusy, grassy, mossy, earthy, herbaceous, woody character.
TOP NOTES: verbena

ANGLAIS

ANGLAIS refers to the harshness of the British Isles, its weather and climate. Lavender, the main note of the perfume, is one of the few plants grown in the British Isles that is used in perfumes. The severe, windy, rainy climate, stone houses overgrown with moss, the scent of herbal lavender create a picture of memories evoked by the ANGLAIS fragrance.
The perfumes have a warm, herbal-fresh, dry, woody, rough character, with notes of spices, tobacco and coumarin. They are intense and complex.
TOP NOTES: herbal lavender
HEART NOTES: tonka, fresh white thyme, powdery iris
BASE NOTES: earthy vetiver, rough oakmoss, cypriol, cedarwood
CHYPRE

CHYPRE is heavy, deep, with a floral heart and a balsamic-resinous base, although there is a balance between these two characteristics; fruitiness from dried fruits and animalic notes are also detectable.
Perfumes as dense as CHYPRE engage not only the sense of smell but also sight with their dark, syrupy color. As the fragrance lingers, a woody roughness emerges.
CHYPRE is like a sultry evening after a hot day in a garden of fragrant flowers. Like that boundary in the air, after which only rain can follow.
They are characterized by a warm but dry scent, with woody, floral and resinous notes.

BASE NOTES: ambrette, labdanum, styrax
FLEURISTE

FLEURISTE is a dynamic composition where the scent of white flowers mixes with freshly cut stems, new buds with faded petals, yellow honeyed centers of fanciful flowers with tiny twigs. FLEURISTE perfumes refer to the unique atmosphere of a flower shop filled with fresh flowers, waiting to be arranged into a bouquet.
The perfumes have a green, dry, floral, stem-like, powdery and deep character.

GLORIA

GLORIA combines a sunny accord, clear, light, gracefully sweet, with an elegant floral heart, built from precious absolutes, and a stimulating spicy top note. The whole blossoms on the skin. GLORIA evokes warm summer mornings with the first, albeit intense, sun rays, dew drops, opening flowers, sweet peace and space for dreamy reveries.
The perfumes have a floral, elegant, soapy, spicy, fresh character.

METAROSA

The opening of METAROSA perfume is fresh, rosy-floral. After a moment, it becomes powdery, sweeter, with notes of bitter chocolate, white flowers and iris. Then green stem notes emerge. The base notes are powdery rose, intoxicating and overwhelming, which lingers on the skin. A scent that is the epitome of a garden full of roses.

SÉRAIL

SÉRAIL features a classic combination of sandalwood and vanilla, which have a warm and sensual character. Sandalwood adds depth, vanilla sweetness, and tonka character and spiciness. Neroli enriches the scent with freshness, and Damask rose gives the composition a romantic accent. Ambrette adds elegance and powderiness. SÉRAIL evokes images of Turkish steam baths with massages and rituals of anointing the body with fragrant oils, which rise under the influence of heat and blend in the air. It is an invitation to sensual experiences and beauty.

SUPERIORE

SUPERIORE is a refreshing, energetic, joyful perfume that smells of summer. It evokes the scent of the beach, sea salt, the juiciness of citrus fruits, and the warm rays of the sun on the skin. Through this composition, we aim to capture the aura of a morning in Italy, time spent in a sunny garden. Aromatic herbs bloom all around, and we can't resist crushing their leaves between our fingers to release their aroma.
The perfumes have a fresh, citrusy, juicy fruity character with discernible herbs, joyful.
